“When I found out about B Corp I thought, this is us. This is what we have been doing for over 15 years – the community, the philosophy and the sense of purpose. It pushed us to be a better business – we just had to get the B.”
– Keryn Nossal, Fancy Films
Keryn is renowned for her creative and collaborative approach, using her passion for social justice and commitment to inclusivity to build the business since its inception in 2002.
–
We wanted to become a B Corp because we’re passionate about accelerating a global cultural shift which is redefining success in business to build a more inclusive and sustainable economy –
It is pushing us to be a better business.
–
After a rigorous 12-month recertification process, benchmarking ourselves against a global community of organisations doing good, we can finally say we’ve once again earned our place among them. We meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose.
Our greatest strengths are in the COMMUNITY section of the B Impact Assessment.
We support our local community through donations, supply chain and being champions for diversity, equity and inclusion in our industry. Certifying with the business model “Designed to Give” means we are formally committed to donating the equivalent of 5% or more of our time through pro-bono services.

Why Business for a Better World?
As a B Corp, Fancy Films is not just a business that’s out to make money — it’s a business that is legally bound to have a positive impact on society, its workers, the community and the environment too.
Society’s most challenging problems cannot be solved by government and nonprofits alone.
The B Corp community works toward:
By harnessing the power of business, B Corps use profits and growth as a means to a greater end: positive impact for their employees, communities, and the environment.
Reconciliation is about bringing Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians together, giving voice to unheard stories and securing inclusive access to our collective future.
We recognise that this move to a fairer Australia is illuminated by the contribution of every Australian. Fancy Films is determined to play our part.
