05 Oct Fancy Focus: presenting our Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity Highlights
For the past two years Keryn and I have attended Cannes Lions, completely immersing ourselves in global industry trends. This invigorating 7 day event is attended by 15,000 delegates creating a melting pot of ideas from around the world, with a special emphasis on online video and creative content.
Post event, our team created eight videos from footage we filmed, dedicated to the main themes of the conference:
- women & gender equality
- diversity and unification
- emotional advertising
- creativity for the greater good
- creative collaboration, innovation
- big data
We hosted two ‘Fromage & Rose’ evenings with a range of clients at the Fancy offices in St Kilda. These presentations were a way for us to share knowledge in a holistic way, about online content, marketing & communications in the current climate. Our sessions inspired thought provoking discussions and some of our clients expressed interest in sharing this work with their broader teams.
We were delighted to accept an invitation from Australia Post to present our Cannes Lions highlights at their head office in Melbourne a few weeks later. Given that I was well rehearsed by then, I felt confident sharing our learnings with the receptive Australia Post team.
These talks were the first iteration of our new Fancy Focus initiative, with more sessions coming up this month for clients in the rapidly growing transport sector.
We look forward to hosting an ongoing range of creative industry talks for clients with a focus on trends and insights in the spirit of sharing knowledge for better engagement and better content creation.
A big thank you to Australia Post for having us, it was wonderful to share our insights with you.
