Against the sparkling backdrop of the Côte d’Azur, the 64th Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity was attended by 15,000 delegates there to soak up the positive vibes in interesting times. No longer the exclusive domain of advertising agency executives, this event has evolved into a major gathering for those, like us, working in the creative communications and marketing space. The Trump effect and other global issues has provoked a huge increase in passionate content about women, gender equality, diversity, creativity for the greater good and staying true to yourself. Groundbreaking aspects from last year, like technological enablement, were replaced with more emotive themes, whilst big data remained central to everything.
It’s no surprise we again thoroughly enjoyed the Beach Bar Sessions hosted by YouTube & Facebook with the standout event being #PrideDay.
