Yiramalay to Tour Nationally

Yiramalay to Tour Nationally

Each year The ATOM Awards curates a collection of their favourite entries for the National  Screenings Tour with selected Award winning films appearing all over  Australia throughout 2017. We are delighted that Yiramalay has been selected as part of this prestigious showcase.

Our short film won the award for Best Short Form Documentary and tells the story of the remote Aboriginal school in outback Western  Australia and the partnership between the Bunuba people of the Kimberley  and Wesley College Melbourne. The partnership was formed in 2004 to bring about positive change through education by integrating the values  systems of both indigenous and non-indigenous communities.

We are delighted for what this means for the partnership  and the school in the Kimberley. We look forward to Yiramalay playing to  young audiences across the country on screens in places like  Melbourne’s Federation Square and Perth’s Northbridge Piazza, as well as  universities, schools and libraries.
