Have yourself a Fancy little Christmas: director Keryn Nossal reflects on the happenings of 2018

As 2018 draws to a close, we are feeling extremely grateful to our amazing clients for trusting us to tell their stories.

We started the year supporting many of our long-standing clients who invested in Fancy to help them set the direction for their teams across the country and strategically engage their audiences. It has been a time for creating more meaningful local content across a broad range of subjects – from the growth of ASEAN to artificial intelligence and of course, safety.

The delivery of two distinctly different longer-form series propelled us into new areas of content production and distribution. These large bodies of work delivered fantastic results for their respective audiences and we’re excited to continue producing in this style over the coming months.

Our contribution to Women and Leadership Australia’s ‘100 Days for Change’ campaign with the ‘From A to Me‘ series created a local body of work that contributed to the global conversation around gender equality. The messages from these inspirational women are both relatable and actionable. We have been overwhelmed by the response to keep the series going. According to WLA, they estimate that more than 200,000 people have been impacted by the campaign and we are proud to have played our part.

A personal highlight – I commenced my Executive MBA at the Berlin School of Creative Leadership. Going back to being a student with a cohort from 14 different countries was incredibly invigorating and life changing, so much so I’m heading back for another module next year.  Studying in Berlin with like-minded creatives has given me enormous energy to channel back into meaningful work for our clients and has strengthened my resolve to make work makes a difference.

What a year it’s been at Fancy Films – we grew our business, our office space and our team, who I’m enormously proud of.

Thank you to all of our clients who choose to work with us and entrust us with your brands, reputations and your fancy films. We look forward to more creative and collaborative projects with you in 2019.

Happy Christmas from Keryn & the team at Fancy Films
